AUTUMN REPORTS 2014

Lyngen_Lodge_2Easy motivation to train along the Spakenes trails with clean Norwegian fjord air filling the lungs. Choose between 3,6 and 10km trails and even better they all finish in the hottub!Lyngen_Lodge_5
There’s still time to swim this autumn! With our boat as support the little archipelago in the Lyngen Fjord is perfect for our open water SwimRun & Triathlon training. This time we had a single seal swimming alongside us and I’m not sure who was most suprised us or the seal!

It’s all about the right food, Superffo Chia seeds and fruit for breakfast. Our promotion of wellbeing for our Fit For Life project 2015 is combining nutrition and exercise for a better life.
Beautiful low sunlight during the walk round the small Åroya Island. Perfect shell hunting terrain.

The joy of running in the mountains (sky running) is not as mad or as painful as one may believe. It’s all about pacing yourself and enjoying the scenery in the moment. For those signing up for our Fit For Life 2015 training camps (launched soon) we’ll show you how to love this way of training.

Orca Whales (Killer whales) have entered the Lyngen Fjord. Warmer sea water temperatures drive the herring fish north and the whales follow!

Yes those Peak Performance running tights are funky but they are designed to run past moose and be seen! Sensational autumn running weather behind the lodge. Today we intrigrated some Cross Training and interval beach running.

Happy that winter is soon arriving. Sandra, Finlay and Pernilla are delighted that the first snow has arrived on the high mountains.

Although we love summer and autumn – as soon as the first snows arrive we can’t help getting excited for the ski season!

Autumn is arriving and the sea eagles are moving more inland down the fjord and can be seen directly from the breakfast table at the lodge. Keep hold of your eggs and bacon!

It’s triathlon time – it’s a great feeling to bust out all the disiplines of swim, bike & run in one power push.

Can you believe it! Our first Northern Lights greet our summer guests. As our nights close slowly in (only 4 hours of darkness) we now have strong aurora level 9 out of 10. It looks like a promising Northern Lights season ahead in Norway.

Possibily the most memorable swimming experiences are the open water fjord swims. The feeling of the undisturbed rhythm in nature creates lasting training memories. We use underwater camera action to improve technique over long distances.
