Summer Activity Guide
Start Date: End of June - Mid September 2023
Job Description: Leading and hosting a variety of activities for private and open groups of max. 8 guests. Activities include hiking guide, cultural guide, biking, kayaking.
Requirements: Previous experience leading relevant activities in the hospitality industry is required. Qualifications required to guide some of the activities (please inquire). B Driving licence required. Wilderness guiding experience/qualifications are an advantage. Applicants need to be minimum of 24 years old.
Benefits: Subsidised accommodation in Lyngen Lodge’s staff house. Ample free time for private activities.

Summer Lodge Team Host / Service
Start Date: July 2023 - Mid September 2023
Suitable for: Those with previous hospitality high end service experience.
Job Description: Joining the lodge team that hosts up to 16 guests. Job rotates between morning and evening shared shifts. One shift either morning or evening is worked in one work day. Eight Hour daily work shifts with two days off per week.
Morning shift: preparing buffet breakfasts, breakfast buffet clean down, house keeping, hosting guests.
Afternoon/Evening Shift: Afternoon tea hosting, evening 3 course table setting and serving, lodge turn down. Assistance with Northern Light viewing directly from the lodge.All in-house training provided.
Requirements: Previous hospitality experience in hotel or lodge work, some kitchen assitance and baking experience. Self driven and comfortable with living in remote location in nature.
Benefits: Monthly fixed salary.

Lodge Chefs x2 - Winter 2023/24 Season
Start Date: November 2023 - end of May 2024
Job Description: Two Chefs (can apply as an independent or a couple) required to join our team and create in an open plan kitchen to cater for 16 guests staying between 3, 4 and 7 nights.
Lyngen Lodge uses the finest local main ingredients that can be found in the region. These include a variety of fish from the fjord, lamb, reindeer. In addition home baking skills are required as well as a keen interest in growing and harvesting of organic vegetables and herbs. Our cuisine is renowned for it's creativity and quality.
Lyngen Lodge provides a full board service to guests. Main chef tasks are delivery of lunches, three course evening meals, baking and food ordering.
Living conditions: Rooms in private house off site, kitchen, living area, internet and access to car.
Requirements: Previous lodge or boutique hotel experience.
Salary: Salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Winter Activity Guide / Host 2023/24
Start Date: Nov 2023/24 Winter Season
Job Description: Leading, hosting and assistant guiding up to 8 guests per group for the following activities / excursions:
Dog Sledding, Snow shoe, snow mobile high mountain lake fishing, whale watching via boat, cross country ski, Northern Lights viewing. Many of these activities will be acting under the leadership of a main guide. For example whale watching acting as crew, information provider. Snow mobile as host and assistant to main guide. The main role is preparing guests for adventures, clothing, explanations of the tour and accompanying the guests throughtout their experiences outdoors. All in house training provided.
Requirements: Previous experience leading relevant activities in the hospitality industry is required. B Driving licence required with previous winter driving. Adventure outdoor excursion experience/qualifications are an advantage. Applicants need to be minimum of 24 years old.
Living Conditions: Private room in shared house, kitchen, living areas and access to car.
Salary: 40 hours per week. Monthly fixed salary

Lodge Team Host With Chef Experience
Job Titel: Chef & Host
Start Date: November 2023 - end of May 2024
Suitable for: Host with extra cooking and food preparation experience.
Job Description: This position is a combination between hosting and chefing. A variable combination role switching between two days catering for up to 16 guests, and three days rotating between morning and evening shifts. Tasks listed but limited to: hosting, preparing buffet breakfasts, house keeping, meal presentations, afternoon tea hosting, serving three course meals, bar work.
General house-keeping duties, including the preparing and hosting of extensive buffet breakfasts. Hosting of guests before and after activities, including afternoon tea and then the setting up, serving and hosting the three-course evening meal for 16 guests. All in-house training provided. Eight Hour dail shifts with two days off each week.
Requirements: Previous hospitality and catering experience in hotel or lodge work. Self driven and comfortable with living in remote location in nature.
